Travel for December 2017
The owner of the small cafe have a rabbit in her heart. The owner lets the customers show her pretty rabbit. This is the rabbit cafe(Usagi cafe) in Osaka where I visited. It's the most distinctive thing that we can easily know kind of an animal cafe, but the name is " Rabbit Cafe ", so many people can imagine that there are many rabbits here.
Before I arrived here, I didn't know exactly business hours and Last oder time of Rabbit Cafe(Usagi cafe). Arriving at the Kansai airport, I arrived downtown after dark. Is the rabbit cafe still open? Although I did not know exactly, I just decided to visit the Osaka rabbit cafe. The lucky thing was that I arrived at the end of the last business hours.
To Koreans, the Nakazakichō area is known as the Cafe Street, so Koreans think many local cafes line up in a row, but it is actually a residential area. There are small cafes between the houses. It is different from the commercial district.
It was not easy to take pictures in the dark. Only streetlights lighted up when it got dark. So if you are an amateur photographer like me, you won't be able to gather enough light to take some pictures, so the photos will be shaking. The pictures were not very good.
Usagi Cafe @ Nakazakicho station
I pushed the door sideways. The door was not slightly smooth. As soon as the door opened, the bell rang, and the owner welcomed me with a warm smile.
※ Usagi means Rabbit in Japanese.
There was a playgorund for rabbit on the left of the entrance. The black rabbit was playing with straw without a break. The rabbit dug up the straw pile and drove it to one side. In the deep spot, the rabbit lay on his(or her?) belly and looked at the guests for a while. The black rabbit was so cute.
P.S. Ah, this rabbit is sometimes on vacation, too. If you don't want to visit here during vacation of rabbit, It is most accurate to ask the owner of the café for a rabbit vacation date.
A small cafe with a tatami room
Inside the rabbit cafe, it was really small. One table with a small chair and the other is the way to sit on the floor of Tatami. So, Looking for a review of the Osaka Rabbit Cafe, it was easy to find that there were guests who queued up to enter the rabbit cafe or gave up. Tatami is a familiar room for people who travel to Japan frequently. The space on the tatami is attractive to provide a cool summer floor. In winter, it provides a floor that is not too cold. The charm of duplicity is the attraction of tatami rooms.
The cafe owner brought me a menu with a glass of water. However, I did not need to see the menu. Because I've already set up the menu. I showed her a capture screen(by my smartphone) which I've already chosen menu( The reason why I captured the picture of the menu was because I didn't know the name). The cafe owner taught me what menus I ordered.
Chiffon cake set
I was able to choose between coffee, juice, and tea. I chose tea. The café owner gave me extra milk so I could enjoy tea and milk tea at the same time.
The cafe is famous for its owners love for rabbits very much. I could see such a trace as some pictures of the cafe. The most numerous rabbit pictures showed the location of the restrooms, anyway the pictures of rabbits were so cute. Since I have no talent at all for painting, I felt that these pictures were cute and I envied her drawing. If I draw, rabbit ... Maybe not a rabbit.
You can even see a rabbit with a chiffon cake. it was enough to capture my eyes. The taste of chiffon cake of here was normal. Tea was as well. However, with the character of Rabbit on plate, even the usual taste was enough to make me come back to the cafe. How can I eat this precious picture? but I ate them with the thought that. :)
There was something interesting. That is to read magazine about rabbit. the magazine of rabbit provides all the information needed to raise rabbits. Among them, catching my eyes was the story of rabbit's dating, love, marriage, and childcare. We can often see children riding in the carts at the mart. In the rabbit magazine, I could see pictures of mother rabbit and baby rabbit like that. And I could see a picture of a father rabbit and a baby rabbit watching together in the distance. I read a magazine with joyful.
Talked with her
On weekdays, it was for the closing time of UsagI Cafe. Thank goodness. If there were lots of guests, I wouldn't have been able to talk to her for long time if she had been very busy. The conversation with her mixed up in Japanese half and Englis half. Although she was not fluent in English, she was simply able to speak in English. My Japanese was not good either, but the conversation was enough. Many people visit the space, but space has been limited. So she apologized to her customers for not being able to accommodate many people at once. And I could guess how much she loved the rabbit while listening to her story.
Actually, it was a very funny question, but I wondered, " Does the rabbit recognize his/her name? " I've never raised a rabbit. It was a funny question When I think again. With her answer to " Of course, " (I've already completely forgotten rabbit's name at the time of writing), she called her rabbit.
My tour is named after the warm and friendly Cafe Tour. I think this cafe doesn't have anything special, but I think it suits its name. If you want to stop visiting the cafe for a while or to relax, this cafe fits perfectly. For that reason, there are only two things. 1. This place lacks light So it is difficult to take a picture, but at the same time, it has soft lighting. (Of course, here is tatami, which makes up the atmosphere.) 2. You can have a lot of fun with just one rabbit. There isn't trady song like K-POP. However, the radio(the representative of the old stuff) is turned on.
There is an unknown Japanese broadcast on the radio, soft atmosphere and tatami rooms. So you can feel " I'm in Japan now. " Since this is small, it is also good to talk in whispers. A rabbit and the old collection of rabbits magazines which owners collected, let you know the rabbit's appeal. And it is here that you can enjoy the story.
Recently, large cafes were opened in Korea or Japan. As I was used to noisy cafes, the atmosphere at these local cafes was fresh and nice for me.

Hana's tip - day off of Rabbit cafe in Osaka
The day off at the Osaka Rabbit Cafe had its own rules. However, the cafe owner said that it is difficult to keep the days off schedule strictly. Due to the fact that there are certain seasonal holidays such as Christmas and New year. She has not been decided yet about Next year's day off, so if you plan to visit next year, you should contact her for a call to avoid days off. The café owner does not use SNS, so the phone call is the most accurate and quickest. (The owner of cafe can speak easy English word.)
