My trip in April, 2019
Of the many routes from Busan, Air Busan has many routes. Gimhae airport is a local airport, but it is very convenient for me because there are many direct routes that can travel without going through Incheon International Airport by Air busan. However, Air Busan, which until last year offered free in-flight meals and up to 15 kilograms baggauge, has eliminated the benefits due to policy changes since June last year. I feel very sad about these benefits!. Free benefits have disappeared, but airfare has not been lowered. Fortunately, it is an advantage to be able to use this special price ticket(no baggause & meal service) on short trips. I paid for Fukuoka ticket from Busan for about US$100 round trip without luggage!
Recently, I boarded on the runway, but this time I got on a plane directly connected to the airport.
It was a fine day to travel. Flying is always exciting. Even on weekdays, many people were lining up to get on the plane. Thanks to LCC's aggressive marketing, diverse routes and infrastructure for indivisual travelers, it seems to be definitely better to travel than before.
A Fifty-minute Flight
Even on weekdays, there were always more people on the planes than I expected. Now many people can fly a lot.
The flight from Busan to Fukuoka took only about 50 minutes, so I didn't add seat designation service or other services. I slept for a while because I was tired, and soon I heard that the plane had arrived at Fukuoka International Airport, so the trip to Fukuoka felt like a domestic trip.
Most LCCs, such as Air Busan, use only one type of aircraft. In other words, you will be on a similar flight no matter which line you take. Air Busan's aircrafts are A321-200 or A320-200 models.
If you are not a tall person or a person with long legs, you can take the seat without discomfort. To make a comparison, most people think that Fitch's seats of airbusan aircrafts seems to be a little wider than other LCC airlines in S.Korea. It's literally a comparison!
Arrived at Fukuoka International Airport
Although the Fukuoka airport was a small provincial airport, there are always many people at the airport. I felt it was active thanks to many people.
After arriving at the airport, my final destination was Kumamoto Station. I had to go to Hakata Station and exchange vouchers for JR Kyushu Rail Pass tickets before going to Kumamoto Station. Fortunately, it is not far from Fukuoka International Airport to Hakata Station. Shuttle buses and subways inside the airport make it easy to travel from the airport to Hakata Station.
Fukuoka International Airport International ▶ Circular Shuttle Bus in Airport to Domestic Line
It was not difficult to get on the shuttle bus. Go to Exit 4 of Fukuoka International Airport and find the blue sign that reads "No. 1" to get on the airport shuttle bus. The bus that says green blue is the airport shuttle bus and the fare is free. You can take this shuttle bus and get off the domestic line of Fukuoka airport. Ah! You can get on the airport shuttle bus at "Back" and get off at "Front". It's characterized by a slightly different way.
Fukuoka Airport Domestic Line ▶ Hakata Station
It seemed to take 15 to 17 minutes to travel from Fukuoka International terminal to domestic terminal by shuttle bus. Airport shuttle buses did not travel to domestic flights at once. The airport shuttle bus stops at the cargo building for a while and then goes to domestic flights terminal, so I hope that those who read the article would not get off at the cargo building. You can get off the domestic line and move directly to the entrance to the subway station. You can take the subway from this subway station to Hakata station!
There is also a limousine bus from Fukuoka International Line to Hakata Station, but it only operates at a scheduled time, so if it is inconvenient to go to domestic line by shuttle, Just take Fukuoka Airport Limousine Bus. if it is inconvenient to wait, then move to Hakata Station by shuttle bus.
From Fukuoka International Line to domestic line (free for airport shuttle bus) and then from Hakata Station (260 yen)
The way to Hakata Station from the airport is by taxi/ airport limousine/ after airport shuttle bus, subway/ of course, walking. It will be rare for anyone who chooses to walk, but it is expected to take 40 minutes to an hour if they move on foot.(approximately 3 km distance)
Whenever I visit the complex downtown Fukuoka or small city, I often feel the unique atmosphere of Japan. If I have a lot of time, I would like to travel around Kyushu for quite a long time.
